About Miko N. Design
I have always had a fascination with fabric. Starting to sew at age 3 and continuing throughout my life, I constructed clothing for myself, friends, clients. I worked at three great fabric stores in California. I studied textile design, weaving, dye techniques in college and apprenticed with Indigo Dye Artisans in Kyushu Japan that specialize in Kasuri.
A phase that seemed to take me away from cloth, really stemmed from textiles and it seems to be taking me full circle back to it. This phase was graphic design with a focus in typography, imagery and print.
Textiles, form, space and color are powerful and bring so much delight. I hope to share and contribute to your experience.
